Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Clyp, operated by assistbda ltd (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Clyp you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Clyp.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use Clyp.
2. The service
Clyp lets you upload or import videos, automatically generate short clips and post copy from them, edit them, and optionally publish them to social accounts you connect. Features may change over time.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Your content and rights
You retain all ownership of the videos, text and other content you provide and the clips you create (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transcribe, transform and, where you instruct us, publish Your Content solely to provide the service to you.
You warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to Your Content, and that uploading it, processing it through Clyp, and publishing it to your connected accounts does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law.
Clyp is for repurposing content you own. This applies equally to video you upload and to video you import by link. When you import a video by URL you confirm that you own it or have the rights to repurpose and publish it — you are asked to confirm this each time. We do not permit, and do not recommend, using Clyp to clip or repost someone else’s content, and doing so is likely to breach the terms of the source platform and of the platform you publish to. Accounts used this way may be suspended under section 12.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Clyp to create, process or publish content that:
- is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- you do not have the rights to; or
- violates the rules of any platform you publish to.
You must not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
6. Third-party platforms & publishing
When you connect a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account, you authorise Clyp to publish the clips and captions you choose to that account on your behalf. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability of those platforms or for actions they take on your account (including removing content or restricting your account). Publishing may be delayed or fail for reasons outside our control.
7. Plans, credits, billing and refunds
Clyp is offered on paid plans and/or credit packs. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and it takes effect at the end of the current period. Prices and included allowances are shown in the app.
Because Clyp is digital content supplied immediately, by starting to use a paid feature you agree that the service begins right away and you acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right to cancel is lost once supply has begun, to the extent permitted by law. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
8. Our intellectual property
Clyp, its software, and its branding are owned by assistbda ltd. These Terms do not grant you any rights in them except the right to use the service as intended.
9. Availability and “as is”
We aim to keep Clyp available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Except as required by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, data or goodwill; and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Clyp and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with law.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; we will post the new version here and update the date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country you live in.
